We're making zip and link beds, extremely sturdy and solid being heavy duty handmade in Derbyshire UK. Our zip and link beds are ideal for the hospitality trade and also a good choice for your guest bedroom for more flexible sleeping arrangements.

Zip and link twin beds comprise two individual bed frames when parted ideal for sleeping kids individually, to be used as single size beds this way or alternatively they can clipped and joined together to make a bed for two either in double, king or super-king.

Our wooden zip and link oak bed frames are designed to support two x individual mattresses that zip together. The zip and link mattresses are a comfy option as the zip doesn't get in the way of your sleep as these zips on the mattresses usually are tucked under a flap and you could always add a mattress topper if you fancy a more luxurious option.

The zip and link bed frames can be made as minimal as you like. You could have a zip and link bed frame with no headboard, or you have the option of adding a headboard of any design of your choice, whether in wood or upholstered in a fabric of your choice. Another option is to add a wall panel if space is limited in the bedroom, to minimise the amount of space required — the zip and link bed is an ideal space saving option for a small bedroom for two.

The zip and link mattresses connect together using a zip. This twin mattress design is ideal if you prefer a different spring tension to that of your partner; it also prevents partners from rolling into each other whilst sleeping.

We have three UK main zip and link bed sizes.

1) King Size Solid Wood Zip & Link Bed Frame — giving you a spacious king bed when linked together, made for 2 x zip and link mattresses which individually measure 75cm wide x 190cm long (or 75cm x 200cm in the longer version, which suits adults better if you have the room length available).

2) Super King Oak Zip & Link Bed Frame — giving you a generously sized bed when the mattresses are linked together, made to support 2 x single zip and link mattresses individually measuring 90cm x 200cm.

The benefits for guest houses, bed and breakfasts, and Airbnb-type establishments is that it makes a room more financially flexible — you can sleep couples, or split the zip and link beds if guests have children.

Our wooden zip and link bed frames are ideal if you have tight or restricted access, as they are easy to manoeuvre through tight staircases.

Zip and link beds are great space savers too — we've designed the legs on our solid wood zip and link beds to sit within the framework just under the mattresses, so they don't protrude beyond the bed frame.
