When ordering your new bed from Abowed, please let us know what size mattress you already have or intend to use. All of our handcrafted solid wood beds are made to fit UK standard mattress sizes — and we can also make bespoke bed frames to fit non-standard mattresses. Just call us with your dimensions before ordering.

The Single Long (90 × 200 cm) is ideal for adults and is the size we use for our zip-link beds — two singles that zip together to form a Super King, perfect for couples who prefer their own mattress.

As a general guide:

• Single — ideal for children's rooms or compact guest rooms.
• Single Long — ideal for adults; also the size used in our zip-link beds.
• Small Double — great for solo sleepers who want more space, or smaller rooms.
• Double — the most popular size for couples in smaller bedrooms.
• King — the most popular choice for couples who want extra comfort and space.
• Super King — the ultimate in luxury; ideal for larger master bedrooms.
• Emperor — a non-standard size, but one we can accommodate with a bespoke frame.
