Unique Black Four Poster Bed
Black Four Poster Bed, hand painted in solid hardwood, asymmetrical flame design, handcrafted in our own beds and furniture workshop in Derbyshire in the UK.
Simple planked side rails and foot board having subtle vein groove detail along the centre which is mortise and tenoned into the curved bed frame.
Solid wood slatted bed base for the slats. We believe the bed base should be bespoke too as it is an important part of the bed structure made to last a lifetime.
The stylish headboard is inset within the beds framework and protrudes to enhance its depth and quality. Upholstered in a modern multi toned silvery - black fabric which alters under different lighting.
The bed is shown dressed with Handmade Linen bedding which can be purchased separately.

UK Mainland Delivery
Our handcrafted four poster beds, solid wood beds, and bedroom furniture are delivered throughout mainland UK. Delivery to outer regions — including the Scottish Highlands and Outer Hebrides — is available by special request and bespoke quote.
Delivery Costs
As a guide, our standard mainland UK shipping rates are:
- Beds & large furniture — £85.00
- Bedside cabinets — £45.00
- Stools — £12.00
For outer regions or international delivery, please call us for an accurate quote before ordering.
How Your Order Arrives
Your bed will arrive by large van, packed in manageable sections for home self-assembly. Every piece is extremely well wrapped to ensure it reaches you in immaculate condition. Please check the outer packaging for any obvious signs of damage on arrival. Your delivery driver will be happy to carry your furniture inside.
We use a specialist furniture courier for beds and larger items, and a separate courier for smaller pieces such as stools and bedside cabinets.
Delivery Communication
Once your bed is made, I'll contact you personally to arrange a convenient delivery date. You'll also receive confirmation once your order has been collected by the courier, along with tracking details by text or email.
We ask for your understanding in the rare event that a delivery doesn't go entirely to plan — we will always do our best to ensure everything runs smoothly.
If You're Not Home
If you are unavailable to receive your delivery, a re-delivery charge may apply to cover any additional costs incurred.
Returns Policy
Free return and re-delivery applies to damaged items only. We do not accept returns or exchanges.
Collection
You are welcome to collect your order from our workshop in Wirksworth, near Matlock, Derbyshire (DE4 4FY), or arrange your own courier collection, provided payment has been made in full in advance.
